Hi, my name is Mat.

I’ve been a landscape gardener for over 30 years, but my love of gardening began long before that. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in the veggie patch, looking up at the runner beans and digging for worms. Not much has changed since then, apart from the fact that I grew up, spent three years studying horticulture at Bicton College, and started MV Gardens in 1996.

Since then, I’ve been fortunate to create award-winning gardens at the Hampton Court Flower Show and to receive numerous other accolades for my work. Over the years, I’ve designed and built gardens for everyone from the rich and famous to large corporations.

​

But what I truly love is getting to know each client, understanding their needs, and delivering a garden that really works for them.
